ROR – Living In His Rest! Monday, November 16th, 2020 – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD DSc DD

For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his (Hebrews 4:10).

When you study the account of creation in Genesis 1, you’ll observe God created man on the sixth day, after He had created everything else. Satisfied, He rested from all His works on the seventh day: “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested…” (Genesis 2:2).

Man’s first day in the earth was God’s day of rest. Adam didn’t meet God working; he met Him resting. It wasn’t that God rested so that Adam could finish the rest of the work, no; God finished all the work before Adam was formed. Adam was thus born into rest. This was God’s purpose and intent for man at the beginning. Christ is our rest. When you come into Christ, you’re free from struggles, hassles, anxieties, turmoil and hardships. No wonder we’re counselled by the Spirit, in Philippians 4:6 NKJV to “Be anxious for nothing…”; have no worries.

If you’ve found yourself toiling and stressed out, despite being born again, it’s time for a change. First, cultivate a new mindset and realise that God made you for His pleasure; He created you to be pleased and happy about you and for your life to glorify Him. Then, you say, “I refuse the hard life and embrace the life of peace, abundance, joy and success in Christ. I’ve been given all things richly to enjoy; I don’t lack anything, because ALL things are mine.”

Your life in Christ is one of immeasurable grace, glory, dominion, joy and righteousness; it’s an extraordinary life of glory from a position of rest. So, keep dominating and subduing your world from a position of rest.

Confession

Blessed be God! He’s given me an extraordinary life of righteousness, and I walk in victory and dominion, from a position of rest. His grace is sufficient for me, and in all things, I fulfil my destiny gloriously without stress, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Further Study:

Hebrews 4:3
“For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.”

Matthew 6:25-26
“Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”

#KeepSayingIt

I declare that irrespective of what I perceive with my physical senses, I’m living in the spiritual realities of our divine Kingdom. I experience divine health, absolute prosperity, unending success, abundant joy, and indescribable peace, today and always. The blood of Jesus gives me remission, justification, redemption, access, fellowship, cleansing and the blessings of the New Testament. I’m born of His Word, a new creation, superior to Satan, the world and its failing systems and elements in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

You have been blessed today, now share this. Bless someone else.

PROSPERITY CONVICTIONS

I affirm that in Christ I live, move and have my being, consequently, I am immune to and independent of the economic conditions prevailing in the world. I hail from above, and therefore my finances are controlled and supplied from above, where the source can never run dry. When men are cast down, I say there is a lifting up in all my financial ventures. Christ in me is the hope of glory, there is glory in my finances, businesses, career and projects. My mind is anointed by the Spirit of God for success and prosperity. I receive inspiration always from the Holy Spirit on what to do, how to do and when to do in expanding my financial territory. Hallelujah!!!

THE TRUE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME.

By him (Jesus Christ) therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name (Hebrews 13:15).

Just as the priest offered sacrifices of burnt offerings and incense in the Old Testament, today, we offer sacrifices of praise to God with the fruit of our lips, which are the words we speak in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord. The sacrifice of praise transcends superficial statements like, ”Lord, I thank you for everything.” For it to be a true sacrifice of praise to God, it must be mixed with substance from your spirit; you must have definite reasons for praising Him and then voice those reasons. If I said to you, ”Thank you for cleaning the house so well,” I’ve praised you. In the same vein, praising God means giving Him thanks in the Name of Jesus for specific reasons.

The sacrifices of praise are confessions, declarations, psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs that you render to Him for His love, grace and goodness towards you. They also refer to tributes or speeches that acknowledge and celebrate the Name of the Lord. They’re confessions of God’s Word that we make to glorify Him. These confessions (or professions) are the fruits and calves of our lips-words from our mouths that give glory to God. Therefore, when making confessions, say beautiful things about God and give testimonies of His wondrous works. Proclaim what He has said about Himself and about you: ”…for he hath said…So that we may boldly say…” (Hebrews 13:5-6).

As you make those confessions in Jesus’ Name, He (Jesus), being our Great High Priest, presents them before the Father, who receives your praise and worship as a sacrifice of a sweet-smelling savour. Hallelujah! PRAYER Blessed Father, how great and glorious you are! You’re the only wise and true God, who reigns and rules in the affairs of men. To you, O Lord, be all glory, honour, majesty, dominion, and praise! Thank you for making my life beautiful, and for filling me with your glory, righteousness, and peace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Pray-A-Thon 2020 – Mon Nov 16 @PastorChrisLive

The Christian is born into God’s rest; Learn more in this Monday’s Rhapsody.

Psalm 33:1-5 says, ’Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD’.

At our prayer times today, we’ll pray fervidly in tongues of the Spirit. Pray first for nations of men and their leaders; and, for the salvation of souls in all nations, that they come to the knowledge of the truth; declare the earth is filled with God’s goodness as the Scriptures say, and proclaim the reign of righteousness in all the earth. Hallelujah! Looking forward to the great ippc2020, beginning today.

God bless you.

GOOD WORKS WON’T WORK
(There’s A Reason Jesus Was Crucified In Your Place)

TO THE BIBLE:
2 Timothy 1:8-9 MSG
“…God…first saved us and then called us to this holy work. We had nothing to do with it. It was all his idea, a gift prepared for us in
Jesus long before we knew anything about it.”

LET’S TALK
Some think that if their good works outweigh their bad works, God will accept them. That’s not the way God thinks. A little drop of impurity in a large volume of pure water corrupts the whole volume. In the same way, one “little sin” in a man’s life can never be outweighed by his many “good works.” Your acts of self-righteousness won’t answer for you before God. That’s the reason Jesus had to pay the penalty for our sins.

Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” When Jesus was crucified, your sins were laid on
Him, and as a result, He took your place of punishment and gave you His righteousness. He wasn’t crucified because He did something wrong. No, He was crucified in your place! 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For He made Him
who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

This is the message the whole world needs to hear: God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died to save your soul, then the salvation He purchased with His blood belongs to you! No matter how wayward or evil a person may have been, if he would confess the Lordship of Jesus Christ, his spirit will be recreated and he would at once become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
