ROR – HUMILITY IN SERVING THE LORD, Thursday, May 28th, 2020, By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD DSc DD

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble (1 Peter 5:5).

Over the years, I’ve seen highly spiritually gifted Christians, including ministers, whose work turned to emptiness, because they weren’t walking in humility. No matter how highly gifted you are, when it’s mixed with pride, it’s not acceptable to God. Your desire should be that whatever you offer to the Lord in ministry and in your service to Him be accepted, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

Everything you do in the house of God is an offering to Him; your service is a sacrifice to God. But God won’t accept your sacrifice if it’s mixed with selfishness and greed; pomposity, pride and arrogance. Greatness in the house of God isn’t measured by some results that you have achieved or attained. Our opening verse says, “God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourself. It’s something you must consciously and deliberately practise.

When thoughts of pride arise in your heart, rebuke them. The Bible says, “And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted” (Matthew 23:12). So, you see that it’s either humility or humiliation. The Scriptures are replete with stories of those who were proud and how they ended up abased. But God doesn’t want us to go in that direction.

Correct and guide yourself with the Scriptures, with the wisdom of God at all times. Being born again, you were born great, and truly great men are always humble. Keep walking in humility, for it’s a great blessing and the pathway to promotion with God.

Dear Father, I’m submissive to the authority, influence and impact of your Word. Pride, arrogance, haughtiness, or egotism have no place in me, for I walk in love and humility, experiencing ever-increasing greatness and unlimited progress in life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 AMPC Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. 5 It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. 6 It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. 7 Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].

Confession For Today. May 28th, 2020

The transcendent life I have in Christ Jesus is beyond the ordinary level of perception and comprehension. I live a life of victory, success, divine health, abundance, excellence and glory, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

The good things of life are for me; health, strength, prosperity and abundance are my lot in Christ. Indeed, all things are working together for my good and I enjoy divine favor always. Thank You dear Father, for the victorious life that You’ve given me, and for bringing life and immortality to light through the Gospel. I’m a partaker of Your divine nature; therefore, eternal life is at work in me. I’m immune to the destructive system of this world, and I have no fear in me, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

I walk in the reality of all that is written about me in the Scriptures. The Holy Spirit – The healer- lives in me, therefore I’m not susceptible to infirmity. His life in me makes every fiber of my being: my cells, tissues, organs, and systems, impregnable to diseases and sicknesses, therefore I refuse to let fear and doubts created by happenings around me control my life. l live in perpetual victory every day. I affirm wholeheartedly that the Lord is my ROCK and my strength, He’s the glory of my life. In Him, I’ve overcome the world.

I’m walking in the victory of Christ. I win every day, reigning in life through Christ Jesus. I make progress. I walk in peace with prosperity. I’m healthy, vibrant and strong. I have an excellent spirit, and I produce excellent results in all I do. The Holy Spirit is at work in me, both to will and to deliver excellence, in accordance with His perfect will. I’m a success, because I function with the wisdom of Christ and His superabundant grace. Glory to God!

Dear Father, thank You for the divine transformation and transfiguration that I experience through prayer; Your glory fills my life; Your love thrills my soul; how I love to worship in Your presence! Thank You for the blessings and privilege to fellowship with You through prayer. I am made in Your image and likeness, therefore, whatever I say comes to pass. With my mouth, I am steering my life in the direction of Your will for me. I have whatsoever I say! My mouth controls my life; my words locate me and determine my destiny. My life depends on my mouth, and with the words I speak, I am recreating my world. By my words, I am justified and acquitted. My word is my salvation; thus, there’s no condemnation for me. I live in prosperity, health, and abundance. My tongue is wholesome, it breeds life and health. I use my tongue aright; I speak words that are consistent with my nature and heritage in Christ. Hallelujah!

I have a great life and I am enjoying my days in Your blessings and goodness. Through the power of speech, I am bringing order and form to every chaotic situation. At my word, every dead situation receives life, and dark situation receives light, completely obliterating the darkness. Thank You, dear Father, for the gift and power of speech. My life is beautiful, excellent, and full of glory. My words are wholesome because I am taught by the Spirit to speak life and wisdom all the time. I am fulfilling Your purpose for my life gloriously, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Hallelujah! • Keep saying it, publish it everywhere; noise it abroad! In Christ, we’ve got something to shout about. Let’s flood the airwaves, internet and print media with the reality of Christ. Speak in other tongues now.

#Affirmation train 28TH MAY.

I affirm that the Lord has done great and wondrous things in my life! My heart is filled with joy; joy unspeakable and full of glory. My heart rejoices in His goodness, for He has filled my mouth with laughter and songs of praise. I am strengthened because the joy of the Lord in my spirit is my strength. Gloom, depression, and heaviness are far from me, for I carry an atmosphere of joy with me everywhere I go. My life is garnished by the Spirit of God; for I am the workmanship of God in Christ Jesus; created unto good works. I only do good works because I was born and fashioned unto good works! I’ve passed from death to life; sin and all it rudiments has no power over me.

I’ve received an anointing from the Holy One and that anointing opens my understanding to all things. Daily, I am taught by the Spirit of God, and hidden things are unveiled to my spirit. I am led and guided by the Spirit, my choices and decisions are founded on the Word. Wisdom guides me and moves me from within to take the right steps that are consistent with God’s purpose and calling for my life. I will never walk in confusion or lose my way. I am set on the path of success, glory, victory and divine destiny! I walk in preordained pathways, for predestination is at work in me! The course of events in my life has been structured by God to bring Him glory, having established me to fulfil my destiny of Him! Glory to God. Hallelujah!
