ROR – Guard Your Salvation Saturday, November 14th Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD DSc DD

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him (Hebrews 2:3)

If anything should be precious to you in this life, especially in these last days, it must be your personal salvation. Our theme verse says, “How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation….” Your salvation is the number one thing in your life. Protect it. See that you’re walking in the light of God, in the totality of salvation. He said, “…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12).

No matter your accomplishments in life, they’ll all be a waste without your salvation. Jesus said in Mark 8:36, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” It doesn’t matter how many conferences you held or attended or how many people you helped; without your salvation, they’ll mean nothing.

Don’t trade your salvation for anything. We’re surrounded by hawks and beasts that don’t spare the flock; they’ll do anything for their personal gains. Don’t let them deceive you, and don’t lead yourself astray. Stay in Christ, in His Word, and keep expressing His love and righteousness to your world.

Remember, not only are you here for your salvation, you’re here also to help others receive salvation. When you really understand what salvation is, you’ll not only protect it with your life, but you’d also be eager to share it with others. The Apostle Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek” (Romans 1:16). The only way you can help others receive salvation is to share the Gospel with them. So make this a vital part of your daily routine and pursuit.

I serve the Lord in spirit and in truth. His love is continually expressed through me to others. There’s no room for hatred, bitterness, jealousy or pride in me, for the love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit. And that love propels me to preach the Gospel and reach out in love to the lost, to turn them from darkness unto Christ. Amen.

Further Study:

Philippians 2:12
“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”

Mark 8:36-37
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

1 Corinthians 9:26-27 AMPC
“Therefore I do not run uncertainly (without definite aim). I do not box like one beating the air and striking without an adversary.
27 But [like a boxer] I buffet my body [handle it roughly, discipline it by hardships] and subdue it, for fear that after proclaiming to others the Gospel and things pertaining to it, I myself should become unfit [not stand the test, be unapproved and rejected as a counterfeit].”

Rhapsody Of Realities – Teevo – Saturday, November 14Pastor Chris

(There’s a Provision of Grace For Every Task)

James 4:6
“…He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.””

When the Lord gives you an assignment, He
empowers you for it by granting you the grace
for the task. When He increases your responsibilities, He also increases the grace. This is so important because, except
the Lord increases your ability for the higher responsibility, you really can’t accomplish that purpose.

Think about the fact that your parents wouldn’t send you to buy groceries without money to pay for them; how much more your heavenly Father. For every assignment He gives you, He also dispenses grace to help you accomplish
it. For instance, there’s grace for salvation, and every child of God has got it. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast”

Just as God has dealt to every man in Christ the measure of faith, so also has He made the grace for salvation available to all men. But beyond the grace for salvation, there are also different graces in Christ. Hebrews 4:16 says,
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need There’s grace for your assignment; there’s a grace for anything the Lord instructs you to do, or anything that’s
consistent with His plan and purpose for your life. This should be your confidence—that you can obtain whatever grace you require, Hallelujah!

I live a life of increase, dominion, and power in Christ Jesus. My understanding is enlightened today to comprehend and apprehend the glorious realities of my divine life in Christ. Daily, my bones, tendons, and ligaments wax stronger. I make progress and grow exceedingly in divine wisdom. I have the wondrous, incorruptible, imperishable, miracle-life of God in me. I’m an associate of the God-kind! The very essence of divinity is at work in me, and that divine life surges through my being, repelling sickness, disease, infirmity, death, poverty, and everything that’s inconsistent with the provisions of the Gospel of Christ. I’m invincible, indestructible and impregnable in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Dear Lord, I thank you for imparting eternal life into my spirit through your Son, Jesus Christ. This life in me destroys the works of the devil and renders his devices futile. I walk in supernatural health, and I demonstrate the wisdom and character of the Holy Spirit, who strengthens, inspires, and empowers me. He’s made me a wonder to my world! Hallelujah!

I affirm that I am separated unto God and His glory. I have access to the unending, boundless, fathomless, incalculable, and exhaustless riches of Christ, wealth which no human being could have searched out. I walk with the consciousness that it is more blessed to give than to receive. My mind is made up to keep giving lavishly and bountifully, out-giving my past. I am an automatic receiver because the more I give, the more I receive. I live in the overflow of God’s blessings because He makes all grace (every favour and earthly blessing) come to me in abundance. Glory!

I affirm that I am blessed beyond measure, the blessing of the Lord has made me permanently rich. I am prosperous, and my financial life represents the finished works of Christ. I am not restricted in accomplishing kingdom projects because all the resources I need are inside me. I persistently do big things for God because I give from my spirit and my riches are unlimited. I am like a tree planted along the river bank that bears fruit in each season. I am flourishing in my finances and financially buoyant. Blessed be the Lord!

I declare My life is a message; a message of the divine life, of God’s love, goodness, righteousness and true holiness; these are expressed unreservedly to my world. I’m fully yielded to the Word to culture my life and character, giving me the right mindset. I speak wisdom, yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world that come to nought, but divine wisdom; it’s heard in my words and seen in my actions. As I declare the Word, it prevails and catapults me to a greater and brighter future with higher levels of success, victory and prosperity!

The eyes of my understanding are enlightened to recognise my divine abilities in Christ and to comprehend and apprehend the spiritual realities of the heavenly Kingdom to which I belong. The Word of God is my life and sustenance and has made me fruitful in every good work. I live in divine health, supernatural abundance, and in continual victory and prosperity. The light of God’s Word illuminates my path, and all things are working together for my good. My life is for the glory of God. Everything I am, everything I do, and everything I have, is pledged for the expansion of God’s Kingdom and His righteousness. Blessed be God! The word is alive in me.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).

Someone once asked me if it was possible for satan to place a hindrance on the path of someone who’s born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. Emphatically yes, but that doesn’t mean anything! As a matter of fact, the easiest challenge to handle as a Christian is that which is masterminded by satan.

In 1 Thessalonians 2:18, Paul revealed how he and his team encountered hindrance from satan: “Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again: but Satan hindered us.” Now, Paul was full of the Holy Ghost, and had the Word of God dwelling in him richly, and he discerned that it wasn’t just some natural form of hindrance, but one caused by satan. But that didn’t in any way impact negatively on his ministry. He still did all that God called him to do and fulfilled his God-given destiny.

Understand that the more effective you are for the Lord and in your faith-walk, the more satan seeks to stir adversities against you. But you need not worry about him; he not a factor at all! He and demons are intelligent beings, and they understand and respond to spiritual authority. When you come against them in the Name of Jesus, they’ve got no option but to flee. So, you can blaze through every opposition; not only are you protected from the assault of the enemy, you have the power to cast him out.

Jesus made it clear that we would face tribulations, but He assures us of victory all the way (John 16:33). So it makes no difference the hindrances or obstacles satan tries to place on your path, you’re to blaze through them and walk in victory.

Satan knows you have authority over him; he’s aware Jesus has given you all authority: “Behold I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you” (Luke 10:19AMP). As long as you know the power you wield in the spirit and use it boldly, giving no place to fear, you’ll always be victorious in life and nothing can hinder you!
