ROR – Glorified In Christ! Thursday, November 12th,2020 – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD DSc DD

And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them… (John 17:22)

Being born again, you’re not an insignificant speck in the dust; you have honour and glory in Christ. This glory refers to the perfections of beauty, the excellence of divinity and it’s expressions, the honour of God, etc

Jesus is the express image of God’s person, the brightness, effulgence (outshining) of the glory of God. The Bible says God gave Him His excellent glory (Hebrews 1:3). Now, here’s the most remarkable part: Just before He was crucified, He prayed a very touching prayer to the Father on our behalf. He said: “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them…” (John 17:22).

He gave us the same glory the Father gave Him, so that we’d be one with Him and the Father, just as He and the Father are one. Today, you have the glory of God the Father, the same glory He gave to Jesus. You may be thinking right now, “Can someone like me who has done so many wrong things have the glory of God in his life?” Sure, you do, now that you’re born again!

The Bible says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:23-24). Before Jesus came, everybody was labelled a sinner. Jesus, however, dealt with the problem of sin once and for all. Therefore, if because of sin we came short of the glory of God, now that the problem has been dealt with, we’re no longer short of the glory of God. We’re His glorified ones, according to Romans 8:30: “Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.” Hallelujah!

I’m the glory of God! I exude and manifest righteousness, excellence and perfection today and always. My life is one of ever-increasing glory. The Holy Spirit—the Spirit of glory—lives in me in His fullness. Through the study and meditation on the Word, I’m constantly transfigured from glory to glory. Praise God!

Further Study:

2 Corinthians 3:10-11
“For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.”

Romans 8:30
“Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”

Isaiah 60:1-2
“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”

My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and His glory, beauty, aura, and perfections are manifested in me. Sickness and disease have no tenancy in my body; my entire being is inundated with the power of God! I dwell in the secret place of the Most High and abide in His holy presence; therefore, no evil shall befall me, neither shall any plague come near my dwelling. I declare that I walk in divine health, protection, peace, and prosperity. The Word is growing mightily and prevailing in my life, producing in me what it talks about every day in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

You have been blessed today, now share this. Bless someone else.

I declare in accordance with the word of God that I have perfect peace because my mind is stayed on God, I refuse to be troubled, worried or be anxious for anything, nothing and no-one has the ability to steal my joy, I have joy unspeakable and I rejoice in the Lord always, I am bigger than any challenges I face because they are nothing but just bread for me. I reign and rule in life, am the seed of Abraham and a joint heir with Christ, I express joy always and I stay in rest. My worries and pain have been taken care of by God because I have cast them all on him, am work in progress and God is leading me to my best days and he is sitting me up to promote me and to push me into a new level of destiny and I rejoice today knowing that am coming out strong in whatever challenging situation I am into. I celebrate my triumphant victory because he has assured me peace unbeatable and his love undeniable. I have an excellent spirit and I produce excellence in all I do. The Holy Spirit lives in me in His fullness, causing me to walk in perfection and righteousness. Thank you, Father, for bringing me into a large place of rest and giving perfect peace of mind, I worry no more! Glory to God. The word is alive in me.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17-18).

If you’d learn to use the Name of Jesus in your life, in everything you do, you’d be amazed at the victories and extraordinary blessings you’d experience every day. His Name is an instrument, a great blessing for us in the New Testament. The Word tells us to use the Name of Jesus in all things.

Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” You couldn’t fail or lose in His Name! His name is the key that unlocks every door! What many have lacked is the consciousness of the power and authority of His Name. But thanks be unto God! The Church is marching on; knowledge is increasing, and many more are discovering who they are in Christ and their place of glory and dominion in His Name.

Philippians 2:9-11 tells us that God gave Jesus the Name that’s above every name. He vested all authority in His Name and passed it into law in heaven, in the earth and under the earth. Therefore, when you make demands in His Name, He sees to it that it happens (John 14:14). When someone is sick in your home, don’t run helter-skelter, looking for help; take charge and declare, “In the Name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke the pain; I rebuke the affliction!” Mention the sickness and command it to go! He told us to heal the sick; so, it’s our responsibility to do it in His Name; and His Name never fails! Even now, rebuke the infirmity. Declare that every storm is stilled in your home, office, school, or environment. Affirm that you’re in abundance and the lines are fallen unto you in pleasant places. Use His Name to effect the changes you desire and create blessings for yourself and others.

Dear Father, thank you for the power of attorney to use the greatest gift of all times—the Name of Jesus. Everything that exists in this world and beyond is subject to that Name; I change situations and establish your will in my world by that Name. I live victoriously and dominate life’s situations and circumstances, in the Name of Jesus! Amen.

SUCCESS THAT NEVER ENDS – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Proverbs 4:18 NIV says, “The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”

Success became your heritage when you became a child of God. Your path in life became one of consistent growth, steady prosperity and unending success. It is one of the many glorious benefits of the Christian life, and God’s dream for you is that you consistently make progress and heap success upon success. He expects you to be increasingly fruitful and productive in all your endeavours.

The Lord Jesus said in John 15:1-2, 5: “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit… I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing” (NASB)

In other words, if you are productive, if you are fruitful and effective in your endeavours, the Lord prunes you so you can achieve even more. It is the Father’s glory for you to be fruitful in life; He wants you to excel and consistently make progress. He is more zealous and passionate about your success than you could ever be.

Thus, you ought always to be success-conscious. Note that success is not necessarily measured at the tail end of one’s life; it can be measured at the different stages of your life. If you are conscious of success at the level where you are today, that consciousness will take you to a higher level of success tomorrow. Never think failure; have the success-mentality instead. Your life will be an unending stream of victory and prosperity when you develop an attitude of success.

…It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4).

In today’s world, people are more particular about what they eat. While some eat the right food to stay healthy, there’re those who, from eating all the wrong things, have put their health in jeopardy. It’s the same thing spiritually. As a Christian, you must feed on the right information. You must feed your faith with the Word of God. Some Christians would rather feed their fears than feed their faith. You feed your fears when you give attention to wrong or noxious information.

The food for the human spirit is God’s word. Jesus said, “…Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). Whilst God’s Word makes the human spirit come alive—buoyant with faith, hope and love, unwholesome words poison and destroy the human spirit. Such negative information that are harmful to the human spirit proceed from giving attention to the wrong things.

The effect of feeding on wrong information in the life of a Christian may not be seen overnight; but with time, such a person gets weaker and weaker spiritually. Before long, he’s no longer as fervent in spiritual things as he used to be. Then, his life takes a completely different turn from God’s original plan.

Give attention to the right information. Fortify and energize your spirit for success with God’s Word. The forces of life are domiciled in your spirit; as you feed your spirit with the Word, you’ll be able to produce every good thing you want in life from within you. Jesus said, “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things” (Matthew 12:35).
