For the past seven years, I have taken it upon myself to warn Nigerians about the deterioration of civil society taking place as a result of the activities of those who believe that the rest of Nigeria should be run as a conquered territory and estate of Othman Danfodio.
They have used ruthless politics and extreme Islam in the pursuit of their aim. The persecution and massacre of Shia Muslims in the north and the use of extreme force against groups like IPOB are part of their tactics.
Their current attempt is to take over a substantial part of Benue state. The continuing, and determined ethnic cleansing of Nigerian villages by Fulani herdsmen is also one of the ways used in achieving this evil objectives.
People have wondered how the Nigerian government can keep quiet when a significant part of its population face existential threat.
Well, they should wonder no more, the attacks on Nigerians is a well organised attempt by the Fulani oligarchy to take over and dominate Nigeria, by subterfuge, intimidation and use of terror and violence.
They are important part of the Nigerian establishment and have dominated Nigerian politics and polity. Their children and relatives now head and dominate Nigerian politics.
Something happened recently, which is the reason why I am writing this article.
The Myetti Allah has been defending Fulani terrorism by misinformation and misrepresentation of facts.
They have tried to find justification for the terroir Fulani herdsmen commit.
They have never condemned their terrorist activities and have focused on finding justification for it, from global warming to cattle rustling.
Initially, they claimed that the herdsmen are foreigners. When evidence that they are employed by members of the Miyetti Allah became widely known, they changed their narrative and claimed that the the herdsmen were attacking cattle rustlers.
After the recent Massacre of people in Benue state. The Miyetti Allah removed the names of the members of its board of trustees from its web site and published a document titled ‘why Nigerian Fulani won’t accept cattle ranching’ . It is one of the worst disingenuous documents I have read.
All these are attempts to provide justification for the the terrorist activities of Fulani herdsmen and grazing of cows in people’s farms, which is the real cause of the conflict between Fulani herdsmen and hard working farmers of the indigenous communities they attack.
Below are the names of the Chairman and members of the Board of Trustee of Miyetti Allah:
Chairman Board of Trustee, His Eminence, Mohammad Sa’ad III Sultan of Sokoto
His Royal Highness Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II Emir of Kano member
His Royal Highness Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman Emir of Kastina Member
His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr) Shehu Idris Abubakar Emir of Zazzau member
His Royal Highness Alhaji Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdapha Lamido of Adamawa member
These are the men behind the 4th most dangerous terrorist group in the world. They are the people Nigerians should hold responsible for the activities of Fulani herdsmen.
The world should be informed and pressure put on the world to impose sanctions on this men and bring them to justice.
Nigerians and relatives of victims should take the evidence of the terrorist activities and atrocities of Fulani herdsmen to America, Britain European Union etc., and lobby the people to put pressure on their government to act.
All human right organisations should take this up. An international campaign like Bring back our girls should be launched to bring these men to justice. The terrorist activities of Fulani herdsmen will become worse, unless the world goes after members of the board of Trustee of Miyetti Allah.
No group of people , no matter how highly placed should feel at liberty to use terror to achieve their objectives.
If this is not done, fulani herdsmen will intensify their terrorist activities and ethnic cleansing for land grab and very soon, there will be Emirs all over Nigeria.
This group now control the Nigerian presidency, Nigerian army, police, customs and judiciary.
God help Nigeria.
